Hello my name is Chris Norwood and I have been working with home owners over the last four to five years. I started Hire-a-Handyman after one of my friends mentioned that it was always difficult to find someone to come out to their home to make simple repairs. When he he did find someone, they always wanted a premium for the work. I saw an opportunity to help other home owners with a low cost solution for their problems.

I am not a master electrician, a master plumber, or a master carpenter for that matter. If I were a master of any of those three, I could and would charge a lot more for my services. And because of that I can do your repairs at a lower cost to you. In most cases there has never been a job that I had to turn down because of complexity. If the job will require more time or resources than I can provide you will be notified as soon as possible. Most larger companies will not even mess with a small job. When you hire a larger company most of then have more overhead and more cost invested.They have to recover that cost somewhere, that somewhere is you. Some companies cant afford to do the small jobs that a handyman service does. There is too much risk with very little payoff for their company. The reason you can afford me is simple. I keep it simple, my business is simple, your need is simple, so my price is simple. That's it, bottom line!
Why you can trust me.
I grew up in a small town called Goldthwaite Texas, which has a population of about 2500 people. A town where everybody knows everyone, and their business too. Which at times is more of negative than a positive. However being brought up in a small town has it's advantages. I was taught to respect everyone and especially my elders and always treat people how I would like to be treated.When I graduated high school I spent four years in the united States Air Force which also brushed up on my skills to respect others. I work with the Handyman service on a part time basis for now and hope that someday that I could branch out and grow into a much larger company. Just remember, when you hire me you are hiring peace of mind, your hiring an honest hardworking young man for all your handyman needs. Every job that I take on has a minimum standard. The minimum standard is how I would finish out a project. If I wouldn't do that at my house I defiantly will not do that at yours, unless of course that's what you wanted. Lets face it. I have never had a customer ask me to do a substandard job. If a customer did ask then I would refer them to someone else. I take pride in my jobs as much as my customers do, and realize my largest amount of work is generated from customer referrals.
